Reading!

Posts have been slim as of late because I am in rededicating myself (had to recharge), and been on a reading/writing splurge. I just finished Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn, and I have to say I rather enjoyed it (review being typed now) which was quality because I thought Ruckley’s Winterbirth was going to bore the fantasy fan out of my soul.

For now, it seems FBS admin Damon and FBS reviewer Paul are doing a web comic. I’m not a big fan of web comics in general (not a fan at all actually), but they started Greenhorn (which has nothing to do with me) and Damon gave me 20 bills to mention it and I’m a merc like that.

I have also spent some time away from following SF/F related news and discussion, and let me tell you, more people should try it. It’s really true; it’s much more beneficial to the wa to talk than it is to listen to other people (I knew when I was younger adults were crazy when they said otherwise). For me, I have to take a step back sometimes as I tend to consume myself with current projects/interests (you know, like how we get the new Madden send the family to their mother’s, call in sick for a month, close the blinds, change the bong water, and start franchising). Anyways, I will be back in full swing soon.

What else…I’m kind of pissed, those mornings you wake up and find out your bids got sniped on ebay. I have a couple of pre-Unity full Valiant runs but I have been working on getting me a CGC 9.6-9.8 pre-Unity run done and I lost out on a key piece yesterday. The prices on these books have been unexpectedly high (I’d even say too high) but that just may be sour grapes from living in a inconvenient biddng timezone (and yes I know about Esnipe.com - but that goes against the Sonny Corleone in me - having people snipe for me? If that isn’t the laziest shit I have ever heard of, I don’t know it just seems like something that will get you a pass to Lamebo on the day of judgement). So while, I’m whining if you have this book:
