Amidst the usual ranting, Grandmaster groping, reviewer-in-fighting, and all that othar drama that at the end of the day means absolutely nothing, here is some actual good news.
In my time at Fantasybookspot.com I have communicated with all sorts, and I’m really the type generally not moved by seeing others succeed (a hater if you will) but having started my own venture (on a much smaller scale) you meet people out there just doing it trying to get their stuff out there, be it writers, publishers, critics etc, some who are incredibly annoying and morph into something even worse when you tell them so.
I’m not going to get into specifics on who the Dabel Brothers are or what product they are moving, as with the former I know only from a minimal amount of communication I’ve had with them but it’s almost like they can’t help but come off as passionate, good people, who believe in their product and have recently been justified. I have to admit reading Wizard and seeing the Dabel good fortune and smiling.
To my friend (what’s become the classic Ernst opener) congratulations man - I can’t imagine it could have happened to better people - and good luck as I’ll be looking out for your products!
