The Bodhisattva

As noted in a previous post I was the 8,092th most powerful non-professional web-based SF/F personality. Let’s see what a week has done:

1. Was told he was forgotten by his favorite Aussie guitar hero.

2. Was remembered by future super agent and former super publicist.

3. Revealed power line-up for the next issue of Heliotrope.

4. Interviewed Steven Erikson and got to ask all kinds of sweet questions and point out his my keen perception of the dynamic duo of Kellanved and Dancer that he was laughed at for prior too.

5. Jeffrey Ford exclusive goodness.

6. Shoved Karen Joy Fowler down people’s throats. Beyond being a great writer, she also has visited the Bodhisattva before and left a comment, and guests are always honored. We are not Freys.

Looks like a positive week but in truth the it may hinge in a query he made this week that will most likely be answered this week or next - after all the path has to be a difficult one. Number one was tough, and nearly made me weep, number two seems positive but implies being forgotten first. Number three is pretty nice but the future is always in motion (one of my Bodhisattva teachers told me that). Number four is a winner but I may have exposed myself and may have to coordinate a drowning in the near future and number five is terrific as it’s always better to give than receive (unless you get something you really want). Number six is part of Forgotten Fridays which I really enjoy, but I was slighted by being in the bottom two mentioned of those involved!

At any rate, I got the memo today from the head of the Bodhisattva order and was told I moved up one spot to 8,091st. The Jeffersons baby - moving on up.
