The Bodhisattva

As I mentioned at the end of my most recent contribution to this feature, this Friday Brian will be managing Forgotten Fridays while Patti is out of town. As some of you may know, it’s basically just bloggers posting a book they think is undermentioned every Friday at their own blog and one central blog collects all the links to them for easy viewing. Now, you think that because I’m participating in it can’t be a cool bunch, but there have actually been some people like Charlie Huston who join in - along with several other mystery/crime writers - but it’s not a feature intended to be limited to that (and hasn’t been). I’ve actually picked up what look to be some solid leads, and I don’t know about anyone else, but I get kind of get tired of hearing from the same people in a loop all the damn time (if you name me a subject, I can almost tell you who will be the first and only 8 people to post on it and what their general stance will be) so it’s been kind of cool because I don’t know, it isn’t a secret in the SF/F community you can tell what books are getting big pushes/budgets in any given month from publicity departments as everybody talks about the same books and they are all books I already know about to begin with!

So a good chance to find some books and share with others, and I don’t know if Brian is going to use FBS/BSC proper or his ‘bookspot family blog top do this, but at any rate it’s always cool to talk about books no matter where it’s at and all you have to do is contact Brian to let him know you posted one at your site/blog. If for some reason that proves difficult  (I don’t know why it would) just let me know and I’ll just forward it to him.
