How old do I have to be?
We would like all new reviewers to be over 21, but we will consider younger people if circumstances allow.
I have a real job I do not know how much time I will have.
If you can do a review a month that would be ok, if you need to take some time off due to real life, just let us know. We would love as many reviews as you feel comfortable with. Your life takes precedence over anything at our website, always take care of your other obligations first.
Can I just post reviews and not talk to anyone else?
We would really like our reviewers to be somewhat active on our forum at http://www.fantasybookspot.com/forum. We try to encourage discussion of books reviewed and it is ideal if the reviewers can make themselves available for those discussions as well as other general book discussion.
How long does my review need to be?
Whatever length you think appropriate. Here are some guidelines though, do not make your review just a summary of the book, we are looking for your thoughts. If you are just copying or summarizing what can be found on the back jacket of the book, it probably is not a good idea. I always like to say if you really want a word count, north of 500 you can never go wrong.
Will I get free books?
If you live in the USA or we love you enough to ship farther away, yes you will get advanced reader copies from us for review. Let us be honest though, if you are just starting out with us, you will probably not get the cream of the crop. You build up the trust, we send the good books :)
What if I have a blog, can I post my review elsewhere?
We like to maintain exclusiveness, otherwise why would someone come here over the other places. Feel free though to post a nice teaser on your blog or elsewhere with a link back to the full review.
