Here is an enticing new book about werewolves, vampires, and witches with unique twist of its own.
Mercy Thompson is an auto mechanic with a werewolf for a neighbor. Her connection to the world of werewolves is complicated; even so, when a young, anxious new werewolf comes to her for help she hires him. Now she has a wounded Alpha whose daughter was kidnapped, a former boyfriend, and an unknown enemy to deal with. All she wants to do is fix cars and live her life.
Moon Called is a suspenseful, fascinating tale of werewolves, witches, and vampires. Mercy knows that it is not wise to sass a werewolf, but she loves provoking Adam as far as she can without getting into trouble. Mercy is an independent, mischievous, and loyal person who captured me from page one. When her friends need her, Mercy will be there.
Patricia Briggs werewolves are clever, domineering, and imposing with a soft spot for the people they care about. Even her vampires were intriguing if dangerous to ones health. Mercy’s decision to request assistance from the vampires creates interesting twists and turns in this tale of betrayal, murder, and desperation.
I could not stop reading Moon Called from the start. The wit and action kept me turning the page until the surprising climax. Ms. Briggs deftly revealed the clues throughout the story without giving away too much information. Moon Called is an innovative glimpse into society’s fear of the unknown and our government’s desire to control this unknown.
